Best Chicago-STYLE food in Sauk City, WI

Wonderful "Chicago Style Fare" with order and pickup at the counter service. The dining party ordered a Chicago Style Dog (which was on point) along with a Gyro. The Gyro was HUGE and filled with all your typical gyro goodies.

Love this new option for Sauk Prairie. Quality and fresh food. Green Bay dog and fries tasted wonderful. I can't wait to try more options.

Went to Hot Dog Ave last night. We each ordered something different. I had the Montana dog, dad had the Green Bay dog (my favorite!) and mom had the Louisiana dog. They were all really good, the dog itself was great!

Items are unique since the town has nothing like these guys.

Nice, clean place. Food was good. Options were appropriate - different styles of hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches, and soup and salad. Lots of good seating options and the drive thru is a bonus as well if you're picking up.

The food came out fast and fresh! Lots of choices to pick from. Friendly staff and fun atmosphere. We will definitely be back and highly recommend everyone come check it out.

How It All Started

After moving to the Dells with his family in 1998, Ralph Starzyk knew something was missing in the area. Growing up around Chicagoland, he knew his new home needed some flavors from his former, “sweet home, Chicago”. In 2010 Hot Dog Avenue was born!

Hot Dog Avenue has become both a local’s and visitor’s favorite! Cutting corners is never an option! A delicious menu filled with Vienna beef dogs, off-the-spit gyros, soaked Italian beef, locally sourced, fresh, hand-packed burgers, and mouthwatering Philly’s are synonymous with Hot Dog Avenue. Food is made fresh to order to satisfy all your tastebuds.

As word spread about the deliciousness of the restaurant, Ralph decided it was time to expand – and in late 2022, Hot Dog Avenue will proudly be opening in Sauk City, Wisconsin.
